Music & Dance Workshop with Krystal Puppeteers
You and your family will move to the beat, making music with shakers and djembe drums as you learn Kenyan dances and songs together!
Krystal Puppeteers' "Tears By The River"
Puppetry, drumming, and dance bring to life this story—passed down through African oral traditions—of a brave monkey named Libendi who leaves his famine-struck land in search of water.

Due to an unintended scheduling conflict, we have decided to cancel the PiP Festival Prelude party scheduled for September 20, 2022.
That evening numerous members of our community will gather to celebrate the life of longtime friend to the arts, June Fitzpatrick.
PiP PiP Parade! will still take place on September 20 from 6:00-6:45 on Oxford and Mayo Streets. This is a free event and we invite one and all to join the party in the streets with Shoestring Theater and the Ideal Maine Social Aid and Sanctuary Band.
Selected work from Rich Entel's Cardboard Menagerie, curated for PiP's Prelude, will be on display for public viewing at Mayo Street Arts throughout the festival. We encourage you to attend a performance or workshop and take in the exhibit.
